Having the right tools for the job often spells the difference between failure and success. So if you want to win at your game, then the extremely precise Logitech G500 could easily be the best mouse you ever buy.

Why do I say “ extremely precise”? The Logitech G500 has an On-the-fly adjustable dpi that lets you select a setting from 200 to an amazing 5700dpi, which makes it feel very silky – smooth and precise in action packed maneuvers.

You can adjust the G500s sensitivity quickly and easily using the buttons that are placed on the left side of the mouse. This comes in handy when playing first person shooter em ups, as it allows you to switch from run and gun mode with an assault rifle to stealth mood with a sniper scope with a push of a button.

The cool G500 has 10 programmable buttons altogether: three thumb-buttons, two to adjust DPI, the two main ones, and the four-way clickable scroll wheel, which gives the button crazed gamer plenty of options to mess around with.

Wherever you look on the internet for the Logitech MX518 Gaming Optical Mouse, you will find that it receives outstanding reviews. What’s even better is that this mouse has been designed for gamers on a budget, but don’t let that fool you as it has many features of more expensive mice.

In the past the choice of mouse setting was always between maximum speed or optimum precision. With the Logitech mouse MX518, gamers no longer need to choose between the two.

The MX518 puts quick-shift controls at gamers’ fingertips – with one click, you can instantly increase or decrease mouse resolution from as high as 1600 dots per inch (dpi) to as low as 400 dpi.

Even though it tracks with optical sensors rather than lasers it’s still incredibly precise.

The Razer Lachesis mouse is a truly outstanding gaming device. Featuring a 4000 dpi 3g laser, with superior tracking speeds of up to 100 inches per second, 9 programmable buttons and extremely responsive reaction time making this an very cutting-edge mouse. Equipped with 32KB of onboard memory allows you to store up to 5 unique gaming profiles on the Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi Gaming Mouse. The right and left click buttons are one solid piece with the top of the mouse, which makes it look really cool. Between these two buttons is the scroll wheel which glows either a hazy blue or a white light along with the razer logo at the top of the mouse.

Microsoft have been producing mice since 1983 and are well known for launching cutting edge, trouble free (gaming) mice, and that’s exactly what the Microsoft Sidewinder X5 Mouse is all about. This mouse is swift, light and glides around like a ballerina, resilient and delivers ultra-precise action.

The Microsoft Sidewinder X5 features nine buttons, five of which are programmable according to a gamers needs using the included IntelliPoint software.

The Sidewinder has a very advanced tracking system which is built around the 2000 DPI laser engine, and can be switched from low to high DPI depending on your game play.

The X5 features a macro that allows you to spin 360 degrees without moving the mouse. This can be extremely handy in some games, as it allows you to very quickly see the bad guys so that you quickly go and kick some butt.

I have tried many many gaming mice. The Logitech MX518, Razer Deathadder, etc etc. This mouse is similar to those and it has a cool red underlight. The on the fly DPI switching works great when sniping and the autoscroll is very comfy and works great.

The Sidewinder essentially contains the core features of any of the other serious gaming mouse, and is aimed at all gamers from beginners to advanced

Verdict:

Without doubt the Microsoft Sidewinder is a  responsive and comfortable gaming mouse. However, I felt it to be slightly larger than other gaming mice. If you have small hands or are left handed then I would’nt recommend buying it. For anyone else, once you get used to the mouse you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.

Are you a professional or hardcore gamer? Then prepare yourself for the  Razer Mamba Wireless Laser Gaming Mouse.

On receiving the Razer Mamba Wireless mouse, the first thing that strikes you is the awe-inspiring package that Razer have cleverly designed. It comes in a Plexigas box and from a distance the mouse appears to float in mid-air. The base has 3 hidden cardbox shelves that store the battery, USB cable and charger.

The Razer Mamba is both a wireless and wired mouse which allows you to switch between the wireless freedom and the frenzy of wired play. There is nothing worse whilst playing that addictive shoot em up and the dreaded battery icon flashes, but worry not, as all you need to do is connect the mouse via its 7 foot USB cable. Not only does this free you from battery life concerns, but  the battery will be charged as well, which means 24/7 pulse pounding game play.

Boasting an impressive range of performance specs, such as a 1ms polling rate, precision 3.5G laser sensor, and a 5,600 DPI refresh rate that can deal with up to 200 inches per second of movement and acceleration. The Mamba has six customizable buttons: two back/forward buttons near the thumb, left/right-click,  and a pair of buttons in the top-left corner. I’ve purchased a number of mice over the years, from the majority of the big names: Logitech, Microsoft, etc. My last mouse was the excellent Logitech G5 gaming mouse, and I don’t have anything bad to say about it, except that it had too few button options and a short cord. The Mamba is an amazing mouse on many different levels. First is the design/looks/aesthetic element. This is a beautiful looking AND feeling mouse.
